App Role

I was the programmer in creating this app. Both of my partners did assist me in creating the application I mainly was the one behind the computer trying to get this app running.

Application Experience

The processes of creating the app was difficult at times but I am proud of the prototype we created in the end. For me there was a learning curve to how to create the app from scratch and trying to manipulate all of the blocks to what we specifically wanted it to do. Doing this project opened a new world to me and I hope to use the AppInventor again for my own ventures.

Application Summary

The idea of this application is to help you plan out a room before you start moving your furniture around. You would take a picture of your room and input the dimensions of the room and all of the furniture. From there you would be able to drag and drop the furniture onto the image of your room to see how it would look. Also you would be able to search for furniture you might want to buy online via the search bar in the application. If you don't have any ideas you can look at other arrangements that other users have posted on the applications twitter feed. There you will see pictures of room arrangements created by other users.

Survey Summary:

I asked multiple technology questions ranging from what browser people use or if they have a smartphone. It seems that people are using Firefox more then anything else and younger people are using smartphones like Iphones and Android powered phones. The older people I surveyed still are using non smart phones. I did ask how often people use the interent and it seems to me that everyone is now using the internet no matter what age group you are.

Assignment 6

1) There are no changes between Google and Yahoo!. Even with the personal search setting off there are no changes in links between the two search engines
